I want to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional experience I had at A High Country Lodge. Patrick and Petra, the hosts of this lodge, are truly outstanding in their roles. From my first phone call to explore staying there to the moment I left, it was clear that they are committed to ensuring every guest has a great stay. Their warm welcome, attention to detail, and hospitality made me feel right at home. One of the highlights of my stay was Patrick's culinary skills. His gourmet meals were not only delicious but also a testament to his talent in the kitchen. Patrick's culinary talents are truly remarkable, and I believe even those with a discerning palate will be impressed. The lodge itself is wonderful. It's impeccably clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Whether I was in my cozy room or enjoying the beautiful views from the lodge, I felt a sense of peace and serenity. The location is also convenient and offers a great connection to nature. In conclusion, my stay at the High Country Lodge surpassed my expectations. Patrick and Petra's dedication to their guests and their commitment to excellence are truly admirable. I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a memorable getaway. Ian Hunt2023-02-11Great hosts (Patrick and Petra) who prepared two great meals for our group (18 of us). Patrick also doubled as our shuttle bus driver and was extremely accommodating to our various pick up/drop off requests ! Lots of individual beds in a house with a unique layout ! Would recommend for any large group.
John Alexander2023-01-30Enjoyed a great week in Breck at the High Country Lodge. Patrick was great to work with and very accommodating for our large group of 33 people. He takes great care of the property and even plowed the driveway early every morning so we could get first tracks on the slopes. Perfect location if you're skiing Breckenridge, Copper, or any of the nearby mountains. Would definitely recommend, and hope to be back next year!

Disgusting- The moose- are on salt licks 14 million dollar homes lined with salt licks. DNR- anyone care?
Alex Hegevall Clarke2022-08-30The lodge was perfect for my friends weekend trip. We were able to play volleyball in the back yard and grill out on the back deck with an unforgettable view. Couldn’t have done that anywhere else in Breck! It was exactly as pictured and thank you Patrick for being super communicative and making the whole stay seamless

Pat Foley2022-03-01Patrick and Petra were outstanding hosts of their beautiful lodge. We had a large group of college friends on a 30 year reunion. Patrick and Petra gave us outstanding service coupled with privacy. The Prime Rib dinner was delicious. They even provided group transport to and from Peak 7 lifts. Outstanding! Can’t wait to visit again.

The views are breathtaking and the lodge is cozy and homey. All guests from our weekend were satisfied and amazed by the quality of service and hospitality provided, can’t wait to visit again.

Larry Saunders2021-08-09I brought our family of 27 for a most fabulous week ever. Annual family vacations for 10 years now presents challenges to do better then the year before. Everyone agrees that High Country Lodge is now in "First Place" as the best vacation ever. Patrick and Petra are fabulous hosts, and the Lodge is perfect for large family gatherings. We will definitely return, and highly recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
